Our pre-professional program offers a select group of exceptional ballet students the opportunity to study the Vaganova method of classical ballet. Our Artistic Director, Sergey Rayevskiy, ensures that the daily curriculum combined with workshops from master teachers and choreographers allow students to gain the experiences needed to pursue professional careers in the dance world. Mr. Rayevskiy also assists his students in beginning their professional careers by arranging auditions, negotiating contracts, and counseling students on opportunities to further their careers across the United States and internationally.
Both our Artistic Director, Sergey Rayevskiy, and Assistant Artistic Director, Ariana Myers, coach students privately to work on specific aspects of technique or prepare them for competitions such as Youth America Grand Prix. Additionally, through Mr. Rayevskiy’s international connections in the dance world, students have the opportunity to travel to the Dance Open Festival in St. Petersburg, Russia to take classes from acclaimed teachers and perform on the Hermitage Stage alongside internationally-renowned professional dancers.
Our satellite location, Ballet Detroit of Ann Arbor, helps us to further our mission of bringing quality Vaganova training to more Michigan students. Our Summer Intensive gives students the chance to study with master teachers, network with other students from across the United States and internationally, and focus on strengthening their technique.
